The Wellspring Academy is a legal private school, registered with the Department of education of the state of Florida, having an FLDOE school code. The school is registered with educational testing Service, having a national college board testing code number. As a private, K-12 school, we enable parents to be the primary educators of their children and fulfill legal educational and attendance requirements. The structured organization and full services of a private school with advantages, personal assistance, accountability, and credibility aid in assuring the success of parent-directed education.
The academy is an active member of The Florida Coalition of Christian Private Schools Association, The Florida Parent Educators Association, and the Central Pasco County chamber of Commerce. Membership in these organizations establishes the fact that the administration of the academy has chosen to meet the highest educational and operational standards for a private school with home-based classrooms.
The Board of Governors of Hillsborough community College has granted the academy an articulation agreement allowing our students the opportunity for Dual enrollment. Affiliation agreements are established with Florida Virtual School. As defined by Florida Statute, the children in the academy are enrolled in a private school and as that school, we issue state recognized and accepted high school credit and diplomas. Upon meeting specific graduation requirements, academy graduates are eligible for Florida Academic Scholars Awards under the Bright Futures Scholarship Program.
The administration of the academy adheres to the conviction that the sacred Scriptures are the standard for truth and morals in all matters of life. Accordingly, the academy holds sacred the vacation of marriage; hence we believe that the sanctity of that union occurs only between a man and a woman as per Genesis 2, 21-24 and Ephesians 5, 22-33.
Our parents retain full control of curriculum choice, teaching methodology, and educational philosophy. In recognizing parents’ God-given, inherent authority to instruct their children, the academy upholds and advocates for the vital, positive family values embraced by our families.
